[Sukora] [She had done well not getting herself killed. Though probably in a way that wasn’t so impressive. She had been pretty much a miserable bitch to the poor tyrant. The attempt to lock her up had ended in a destroyed tent and permission to walk around outside. She was able to at least stretch her legs and relax. She couldn’t necessarily leave but she would take what she could get. She was surprised she didn’t end up getting a good slap. Maybe it was because he was still kind of young? Whatever. She would continue to take advantage where she could. Why did she always attract evil pains in the asses? She stretched her arms up as she glanced to the sky. It was sunny out now. The blast of sand a few hours early was only about 30 minutes long. It left the town a dusty mess though. She glanced to the stalls as they still found pockets of sand. Lucky for her she drank her way through that storm. Though after all this walking around she was considering another drink. She had her dark hair pulled up into a bun on the back of her head while tendrils of hair danced around her face. Slowly freeing themselves. She had on a light cotton dress. Dark purple in color with a simple silver chain belt around her hips. It reached around her knees. She didn’t enter this planet in this ridiculously simple yet useless outfit. But it was what she was offered to ware. She didn’t have any other jewelry besides the matching necklace and bracelet. Too bad it all made her stand out. It didn’t help that her other accessory was a big ass bastard and his BFF walking behind her. Complements of the overload of idiocy. Well she kind of did it to herself. She only had one to start. After the tent ordeal though that was ended pretty quick. She glanced behind her as hazel eyes pin pointed her ‘tails’. “Don’t you have better shit to do?” she asked getting aggravated. Why did she get herself in the middle of this dumb shit all the time? Good god she was just like her damn children. Just a whole other level. The men didn’t respond. They were in full desert garb. Covered head to toe. Lucky bastards. They didn’t say much but did stop her when she tried to leave the village. Babysitters. They must be getting fed up with her though. ]
Siege{Chaos} why in the hell did he walk everywhere when he had access to transportation that could take him around at something more than a foot pace? Well, he enjoyed it for some odd reason. Something in the back of his mind told him that wandering was right, and he listened to whatever that something was. Tree hours digging around in the scrapyard, and he had managed to find a decent pack full of supplies that would come in handy when he got home. There were larger pieces as well, but he was going to have to take a truck in to get that stuff. So now he found himself on his way from the City of Ways, heading into the desert that he called home. As usual, he stopped at one of the smaller settlements on his way. These places were all full of outlaws and dangerous folk who didn't like what little order was imposed in the city, but he never had much of an issue with them. A few fights early on had set things straight, and now they left him alone. Besides, some seemed to recognize him from earlier. No one ever had much information on his past, but he had apparently been well known enough to be feared. He had been making more and more trips these last few weeks. In part it was because he needed to stock up on supplies, but it was mostly because things seemed to be moving. The various factions on Freysten were moving, and those off world had taken notice. Seth hadn't been near the citadel yet, but he had run into more than a few recruitment squads of Fold as they traversed the planet. That and the proximity of the Kairet spire to his home made him nervous. Those creatures were definitely not on the friendly end. Deciding that he needed a moment to relax before heading deeper into the desert, he headed for the nearest watering hole and pushed through the door. There seemed to be the usual assortment of toughs and rough edged people around. He took a set at what passed for the bar, and ordered a drink, with a large glass of water on the side. Yeah he liked the alcohol better, but the water washed the dust out more efficiently.
[Sukora] [Hazel eyes cascaded over the group of people in the bar as she entered. The men behind her seemed to have approved of her choice because the two found a table to relax at away from her. She would glance back at them and click her tongue. What the hell was she going to do with this shit? She did start to head for the bar but something caught her eye as a male came in. It was odd the sensation that went through her. The hair on the back of her neck would stand up and she would fell her hearing fade as the blood pounded through her. She wouldn’t be able to help the fact that she was blatantly starting at the male that had entered. He looked exactly like Seth. However, Seth would have known she was there. He would have reacted to her in some way… He didn’t even seem to notice her. The name that came to mind gave her the chills but also an anger that warmed her blood to a boil. But why would he parade around in Seths skin? She would finally get her legs working as she walked to the entrance of the bar and moved to be on the other side of it. No one was really going to tell a female that looked like Sukora she couldn’t do it so she slipped in pretty easy. She walked up and had to pause a second before she got in front of him. She be damned if he didn’t look exactly like Seth. The bastard tricked her before, maybe he was tricking her again… But now that she knew he was here she couldn’t go back. Just in case he followed her. Not with the kids back with the Aquarians. If Anarchy was here then that meant that Seth didn’t make it through the battle… She grabbed the counter with both hands as she stood before this ass hole. Looking at him as she studied him. Waiting to see his reaction. If she lived through this, she had shit to say to this prick.]
Siege{Chaos} took a large swig of his drink as it arrived, and then chugged down his glass of water to wash out the dust from the trip here. He set the glass down and took another swig of his real drink before becoming aware of a woman standing in front of him looking at him as if she wanted to pick up the bad and hit him with it. He didn't know her, or at least he didn't think he did, but apparently she had a reason to be extremely angry with him. Since she was boring holes through him with her eyes, he looked back, trying to see if he could figure something out about the situation, about why she seemed so angry. She was pretty, definitely pretty, and he found himself enjoying simply looking at her. There was something though, something familiar. The more he looked her over, the stronger a twinge grew in the back of his mind expanding into a suddenly explosive headache. Wincing slightly at the pain, he finally turned his eyes back to meet hers. “Do I know you?”
[Sukora] [She waited a second after that question before she reacted. The damn male forgot about her. Seth wouldn’t forget about her. Not in her mind. How do you forget about a woman that beat the shit out of you as often as she did? Pretty much any time he left her for long periods of time and that happened quite a bit. Or when he pissed her off. That happened quite a bit as well. She watched him wince as she decided how to react. Maybe he was injured? Maybe she had a damn chance in getting even with this prick. It would save the kids later on and if he killed Seth… Lord knows she would find a way to get even. Even if she just get him indigestion. “Forgot huh?” She would almost purr but there wasn’t one thing ‘sweet’ about the situation. “How about I help you?” She would ask him. Her arm shifted as the necklace faded away almost and her arm changed into that black a purple armor that was designed just for her. It reached up to her shoulder before it stopped. She would tap the protected fingers as she tilted her head. “Nothing yet? How about this?” She asked and with that she would swung. Hitting him as hard as she could square in the face. Letting the years of fear, anger and worry out in that quick hit. She wouldn’t be satisfied with just that though. The men at the table didn’t’ bother to get up. She wasn’t in trouble and she wasn’t leaving so what the hell did they care? ]
Siege{Chaos} Forgot about her? Well he had forgotten about everything. That was the problem, he didn't remember anything before he woke up a few years ago. He had pieced together several bits, but most of what he found had managed to do little more than worry him. People that remembered him were often to afraid to give him any information, or unable to due to some outside influence. Whatever had taken his memories had done a hell of a job. He winced again as flashes went through his mind, half thoughts and memories that were faded near to black. There were pieces, but not enough yet for him to make anything out. “Forgot what?” What did she expect him to remember? Ooooo, pretty bracelet, and another twinge in his mind, causing him to flinch just in time to catch the swing across the face and collapse to the floor. At least that would have been the case if he hadn't had to pass through several tables and chairs on his way to the floor. He groaned slightly and rolled himself over, pushing slowly to a sitting position. “I take it we know each other?” He probably deserved it.
[Sukora] [She would raise a brow looking confused as the male went flying across the room. What the hell? Did she just send that prick Anarchy across the room. With little to no problem? Well, isn’t that convenient. She would let her arm shift back and the necklace would appear around her neck again a she walked around the bar. Taking her time now as she let her mind race through the situation. How the hell did she manage that? She certainly didn’t get stronger so this prick got weaker. It almost made her disappointed that he sat up so quick though. I guess she would have to take what she could get. She didn’t’ bother to glance around the bar that was more than likely watching the two with interest. Some probably ready to beat the two of them down for fucking with their seats. Good thing they put on a good show. She heard his comment and snorted. Blood still boiling. “You’re a real piece of shit you know that?” She snapped as she walked up to him now with her arms down at her side. She was half tempted to just blast him to bits. However, the idea of beating the ever living shit out of him just sounded like a better idea. Her right leg would transform now. The necklace transforming as she would next attempt to kick him in the side. She was ready to turn this into a fight that reminded this prick and then make her feel better about what he had done to her. If she killed him? Icing on the cake…]
Julian~Tiberone would step into the bar, his hat tilted downwards as he moved in. Moving to a table in the far back, Julian would take a seat. Pulling a cigar from his pouch, Julian would light it, before taking a few puffs. As Julian titled his hat upwards, he would spot a shadow moving his direction. "...so, you actually decided to show your slimey face around here..." Julian would say, taking in another huff. "Well Julian, I had to show up eventually...did you, do the job?" his client would ask. "...yeah, I'd say it's done. Your "friend" won't be causing any more trouble...now, bout my pay..." Julian would say with a scoff, leaning forward in his seat, his hand extended. Julian would feel a card slipped into his hand, in which case, he would lean back again. "500,000 like I promised Julian..." the client would say, with a nervous chuckle. "...you know, John, your friend paid me a million creds when I reached him...maybe he thought I'd come and kill you!" Julian would say with a loud cackle, banging his hand on the table. "However...you know how I work: When I get paid, I get the job done..." With an ear splitting crack, Julians LifeGuard revolver would be out of its holester, the barrel already smoking as several rounds pierced his target through the abdomen, chest, and neck. With that, things went silent again. No doubt, eyes would be turned on him. "...free round on the house..." Julian would say, moving his cigar back to his lips to take another puff
Siege{Chaos} Gotten weaker? That was an understatement. For the first time ever in their interactions, Sukora was the physically stronger of the two, at least with her armor activated. He put a hand to the side of his face as he sat there watching her cross the room toward him. Apparently he had done something to royally piss her off, and he really wished he knew what it was. This was almost a welcome change of pace though, most people that knew him avoided him. This woman apparently knew who he was from before, and was more than willing to stick around. Whatever had happened between the two must have been important. As she spoke, he gave her a slightly embarrassed, slightly helpless look. “I'm sorry?” Apparently he hadn't spoken soon enough, as a kick sent him rolling across the floor. If he had been standing, and not confused as hell, he might have been able to dodge. Apparently today was whack a Seth day. Pushing himself to a kneeling position, he used a chair to pull himself back up to his feet. He was regaining his equilibrium when he turned back to her. “Would you please stop hitting me and tell me what's going on?” The gunshots were heard, but a quick look told him that they were not his problem at the moment.
[Sukora] [His problem was the raging female. Not the gun. Not today at least. She would watch him as he rolled after that well placed kicked. Huh, she was kind of proud of herself. She was doing a damn good job of knocking this prick around. Too bad she was confused on what had happened to make him this weak. She walked towards him after she glared. Thinking about the apology he gave her. “Sorry?” she asked with a snap in her voice. What kind of idiot says sorry after raping someone? What the hell is going on? She listened to what he said next and looked at him like he was crazy. ‘Would you please… ?’ What the hell was going on? “Do you seriously not remember Anarchy?” She would snap at him. “You hiding in Seth’s form isn’t going to save you anymore bastard.” She would say as she allowed her arm to transform once more. Pulling her arm back again she stepped forward with this punch. Hopefully with him standing he will live through it.]
Siege{Chaos} Well the angry woman was still advancing. Apparently asking nicely wasn't going to get him out of this situation. He had apologized, but not knowing what he was apologizing for was not going to help him. “Who is Anarchy?” The name didn't mean anything to him, but the part about hiding in Seth's form was even more confusing. Hiding in Seth's form? He was Seth. What was going on with this woman? This time he was ready for the punch, partly because she took the time to pull back, and partly because he saw her arm transforming again. As she swung, he stepped to the side and in, bringing him dangerously close to her. “I don't know who you think I am, but my name is Seth.”
Jade`Tacreon Overhead what would start a distant, thruming drone would grow into the recognisable sound of a heavy repulsor lift engine beating away hard at gravity's eternal pull. The cargo skiff had a recognisable taint that was more felt reverberating in the chest cavity than actually heard. The organocrete sheet panels of the outlying bar's roof would rise in a clattering melody as they were shaken violently against their nano-silicate bonds and each other by the repulsors pulsing down thrust as it swung overhead... despite the deafening cloudless thunder there was another, equally distinctive sound, cutting through the maelstrom. weapon's fire . Heavy reports of some kind of repeating rifle hammering out death and a somewhat less placable sound that was somewhere between a laser discharge and a grenade leaving the tube 'thum'. Voices lost to the engine that now whined into a piercing rise as it seemed to be struggling for some reason before cutting out all together amidst a raptous explosion that shook the dust off all the good top shelf booze. There was the sound of mechanical groans and metal distressed as it warped out of shape as the heavy chunk of metal only pictured in the minds eye above the bar careened it's way from immediate earshot...a bare few seconds of peace before there was that strange weapon sound again, two, three and so on nearly into double figures as a chunk of the roof panels warped inwards in heavy, punch like motions quickly working through the color spectrum as they superheated... a final fair in the rapid cluster sent a jumble of roof debris almost 4 foot across and roughly circular shattering inwards to spread and shatter across the floor like a dropped tea cup. Almost instantly followed by a person, hitting the ground in a flash of dirty black duster and highlighted streaks of hair. She rolled as soon as she landed on the deck to escape the still glowing portions of roof panel before standing up, suppressing a wince as multiple places all protested at the motion... she glanced around with a wry smirk and assuming nobody just up'd and tried to shoot her would holster the sidearm at her right thigh, dusting herself off...."Nobody panic, I'm alright and everything is under control..." No sooner would the last word escape her lips than the ground shuddered in the mini quake that could only of been the skiff crashing to it's final resting place, nearby outside in that unforgiving desert...at that she gave a mock wince..."That...probably had nothing to do with me"... before protests or anger could form into action or words she'd stalk to the bar, caring little for the eyes of the patrons and offer the barkeep a loaded credit chip with a sly wink..."For the roof"....the sum would be more than enough to earn a pardon... best of all, it was some other poor fools credits. <e>
Julian~Tiberone eyes would dart up to Jade as she...well came crashing in would be too oblivious to what was really going on...regardless, Julian couldn't help but crack a smile. If she would catch eyes or an exchange of looks from him, Julian would be waving for her to come join him in the booth. If she drew near, Julian would reach his leg across and kick the corpse out of the seat across from him. "Please, sit." Julian would say with a smirk, leaning back and taking yet another puff from his cigar
[Sukora] [What the hell was going on with this damn male? She was starting to wonder if he seriously forgot. But when he asked who Anarchy was she did start to doubt herself. But if it wasn’t Anarchy who the hell could it be? She simply was refusing the idea that it could be Seth and he just forgot about her. Was it that long? Was it long enough for him to forget. She followed through with the punch and went to turn and swing when he spoke. Could that be Seth? She grabbed him by the shirt and went to say something but the whole freaking place seemed to be going to hell in a hand basket. She would have to glance up to see what was going on but eyes shot to the corner where the two men were. They were fixated on what was going on. It was her moment! She heard the crash as the female fell to the ground but that would be the point where she slipped out. She still had ‘Seth’ by the shirt when she stepped out and would release him when she got outside. She turned to look right at him. Her hand coming up as she pointed at him. “I don’t believe you. I don’t know who you are but I doubt he could forget about me if he tried.” She would say in a quiet voice and then headed down into the crowded street. Thankfully the woman’s interesting entrance had created an opportunity to ditch dumb and dumber. The streets were filled with people coming out to see what the hell was going on. Hopefully she could slip down the road unnoticed at this point. Her mind burned over that damn male though. What the hell was going on?]
Siege{Chaos} this place was starting to get a lot of attention, drawing the focus off of the woman who was currently trying to kick Seth's ass. He would have paid more attention to he others entering the place in such a flash, but he was currently fighting with the flashes in his mind that were causing him to wince as his head tried to crack itself open to the acid could be dumped into his brain. He had been smooth stepping past the punch. Hell, he had thought about sneaking in a quick kiss for the pretty lady, but the newest flash of brain pain completely killed that idea. By the time he stopped seeing bright lights and feeling sandpaper inside his skull, he found himself outside as the woman let go of his shirt. What? How in the hell? Why did she drag him out here, and why was he still standing? He focused as much as possible on the woman who was confusing him to no end. He sighed. “I forgot everything. I forgot so much I don't even know where I'm supposed to start looking for the answers to fill in the blanks.” She had stopped hitting him now, but she still knew something. Fighting back a fresh wave of pain in his head, he stumbled after her. “Who are you?”
Jade`Tacreon The barkeep raised a brow and shot her a look that was a mix between amused and confused...' think nothing of it Mr Ayatami..... anything to drink?' ..... so she'd not got around to wiping the ident-encoding on the chip, been kind of a hectic day. She just smirked back and ordered her usual, galaxy wide, it's ingredients were nearly universal and it kicked like a mule..perfect. She did indeed catch Julian's eye as he motioned that she join him... his previous table partner clearly didn't have rave reviews about the experience but then overly cautious was not really something she'd every been accused of. So, once her drink arrived she wandered across with an evilly bright green drink in a long slender glass that fizzed from the bottom and had a semi transparent fog drifting from the top. She helped herself to the offered seat and put her booted feet up on the table, leaning back as she looked to Julian.
[Sukora] [Oh my lord! What the hell was with this guy? She would glance behind him as she looked back ahead of her and ducked down a small street and walked down until the next street. She heard his first comment and clicked her tongue. The agitation starting to make her boil over. In her mind it was making sense. Maybe this was Seth. Why the hell did he forget about her. A pain in her chest started to burrow its way to her core as she hears the last question. She finally stopped after that and glanced to him. Turning as she placed her hands on her hips. This time she really looked at him. Taking a moment to confirm it really looked like him. The more she stared the more she saw an older version of Deimos. Deimos with emeralds for eyes. She opened her mouth to speak but stopped. She tried to curl her sharp tongue as she simply replied… “Sukora…” She would say quietly as she crossed her arms under her bust as she stared at him. What was going on? She was starting to feel unsure about everything now. What was going on?]
Siege{Chaos} as the pain continued, he was slowly piecing together chunks from the memories burning themselves through his brain. They still weren't real memories, more like puzzle pieces from several thousand different puzzles thrown together to try and make a portrait. Still, enough of those puzzles included the same person that a partial picture was starting to develop, a picture that looked like her. When she stopped to talk to him, he reflexively raised his hands just in case she decided to try and punch at him again. “Sukora?” He didn't know the name, did he? There was something about it though. That name, the scrambled puzzle piece picture, things trying to fit back together even though the edge pieces were gone and half the image was missing. “Sukora?” The name began to burn in his mind, drowning out his view of the street in blackness. He suddenly felt as if every inch of his body were burning. Something was connecting, something broken. He felt as if he were crying, but his fingers found only black sludge dripping down his cheeks. The blackness before him was immediately replaced by bright light breaking its way past his eyes, an eerie emerald glow escaping his face. He screamed and turned to the nearby wall, crashing his forehead into it before collapsing to his knees, and finally falling to his side in the dirt. The light and the sludge stopped. His breathing ragged, he turned to look at the woman in the street. “Sukora?” This time the word carried recognition. How much was unsure, but it was there.
[Sukora] [She watched him intently. Her mind racing as she watched his reaction. He spoke her name and her chest hurt again. She rubbed it not thinking as he spoke her name again. She was starting to freak out a bit now though. What was going on with him. He looked like he was in pain? Why? Was this Anarchy putting on a show? She would wonder as she suddenly let her arms fall. Eyes growing wide as he cried?! What?! Was this damn man crying? And it wasn’t normal tears. Hell what would be normal about Seth? … She watched him for a second longer and stepped forward a few steps. She jumped in reaction to his scream and cursed as he slammed his head into a damn wall!? “Christ!” She would mumble as she walked over. Half afraid of how he would react now. What was going? She would crouch down next to him as she reached out but stopped. Her fingers curling as she pulled her hands back to herself. She would look to them then his face before she reached out and took his face. Thumbs rubbing away any residue from whatever the hell it was that came from his eyes. She nodded as she heard her name again. “Seth?” She would ask with uncertainty. What was going on with this man? Could he really be Seth? If it was, did he really forget her?]
Siege{Chaos} his breathing was still heavy as he lay there in the dirt, but it was starting to slow. He winced a few times and then rolled to his back in the dirt. His eyes were unfocused for a moment, but they eventually found here as she was saying his name. He smiled weakly. “Yeah it's me.” He moaned a bit and then looked at her again. “What happened?” Memories were working their way back, but only snippets, and none of them had any reference points. It was simply a flood of disconnected information, like typing her name into a search engine and seeing what popped up. “What are you doing here?”
[Sukora] [She would pull her hands away and put them in her lap. She watched him for a moment as he replied that it was ‘him’. Something in her registered and she let her shoulders slump. Well she got the beating he deserved earlier when she thought he was Anarchy. He may deserve something more for not remembering. Btu she would take it easy on him from now on. Not wanting to kill the poor guy. She watched him quietly as he asked her what she was doing here. She would chuckle and put her hand over her face and relief flooded over her. Unable to help it she took the turn to cry as she felt them rolling down her face. He was ok? Was the damn male laying in front of her on the ground asking her what she was doing here? She wanted to jump his bones really now but she was actually scared too. He had forgotten her. What did he remember? She pulled her hand away as she watched him. “I work for the Aquarian Empire now. On and off as I please.” She would say as calmly as she could manage. Trying to relax herself.]
Siege{Chaos} the beating he deserved would probably put him in the grave permanently this time, but that one would have to work for now. Besides, with Sukora around, he would obviously be getting another one soon enough. That was one thing the memories were pretty clear on. Disjointed bits of information floating around in his mind, trying to arrange themselves so that the story made sense. Was he jumping into the middle? Was it a rerun? Or had the show been over for a long time and this was simply a fan remembering what it had been like? He groaned and pushed himself up to a sitting position. He wanted to hug her, to pull her close, but he hadn't quite figured that out yet. Where did they stand? The memories told him that they hated one another, they loved one another, she was dead, but she was somehow here. Why wouldn't they just line up? “The Aquarian Empire?” The name was in one of his memories of her, of a ship buried on the outskirts. “Did I visit you there?” He sighed. “My memory doesn't work. There are pieces missing, and what's left isn't in the right order. Everything is showing up as if it happened simultaneously.”
Siege{Chaos} why in the hell did he walk everywhere when he had access to transportation that could take him around at something more than a foot pace? Well, he enjoyed it for some odd reason.
