Now, the Transmundane Plane was created by Loki Demona, so he most likely didn't tell me all of its qualities, but I'll give you what I know and see it as to this day. The Transmundane Plane is the plane of nothingness itself. It's oblivion, enter it, and you'll be consumed and instantly negated off of all the planes of existence itself, becoming utterly dead, and but a memory. I really don't manipulate it, considering I believe if mental patterns would touch base with it, i'd be negated as well as the mind, I just use it as an outcome, or an end point for a portal.

That sounds something like what I saw years ago on AOL when I first started out. Of course it wasn't worded like this, it was more as "assuming the void" than nothing else, everytime you would "assume the void" a part of you fades. Use it enough and your transcendance just fades away, your body becomes an empty shell forever. There is no hope to return; but use it to get around...That's different. I already do that.

I dunno much about the Transmundane either. I know it can work basically like a blackhole if in the right conditions. It can suck in air and, if manipulated right, can create a normal vacuum and possibly even a false vacuum. I've been trying to utilize it for my new battle tactics regaurding universal manipulation.

Basically, it's the same thing as following the basic law of the universe. High to low, hot to cold. The Transmundane Plane has no heat, not any density, creating your vacuum.

Here's something that Veazey explained to me over AIM, I'll show everything, even Transmundane, Bereavemental, Bioetheric, and Phantasmic.

bloodygrrr (9:04:14 PM): I heard that the Transmundane acts upon everything, but more effectly upon the Prime Material. And the only thing it doesn't act upon is the Bioetheric.
WickedDevice (9:08:13 PM): Prime material = corporeal. So put that in anywhere you saw corporeal in my aforementioned sends. The Transmundane is an astral-like entity with syphoning capabilities. It is a transdimensional entity because in that state it is inert. However upon contact with any other planes it becomes a volatile concoction that syphons entities corresponding to the plane it's on.
WickedDevice (9:08:33 PM): Bioetheric can be affected by the transmundane, but not when induced with Phantasmic as I frequently do.

WickedDevice (9:11:04 PM): Phantasmic is a transplanar entity that through transdimensional energies shifts from plane to plane, uncompromising any entities it encompasses. It could encompass a corporeal entity and shift it into the astral, totally uncompromising it...it can also connect two points easily by simply opening one entity at one point...and another at another point. Due to the fact, most planes aren't space-time relative. It connects two points and would allow you to move in what appears to be portals...but explained much more intricately.

WickedDevice (9:13:24 PM): Very...but it's something I'm very proud of. Something that I created that is my own brain-child that is probably one of the most intricate entities, at least, that I've ever seen.

bloodygrrr (9:18:35 PM): Ok. The Transmundane, if not concentrated and compacted, can stray off into a sort of shock field. I tought Malikk this, and he uses one of ym favorite moves all the tie because alot of people here use Psionics. As an example, you know that when a subject manipulates ,say giant rocks, a link is made between the subjects mind and the rock. This can act as a highway at any time. Since the Transmundane technicly is a plane in itself, it is parralell to the Prime Material Plane in a way. <C>
bloodygrrr (9:18:43 PM): This is to say, it effects material entities more esily than any other. But, it can be done. Bioetherics have to be touching the subjects Subtle entities, energies of the mind, and the Transmundane which you summon. Because the Transmundane isn't afected by direct physics, it's speed is infanite, thus, faster than light. This allows almost instant irradication. Now, the shock would travel through the Bioetherical link, to the Subtle entities of the subject, and into the mind where it transports it to<C>

bloodygrrr (9:18:56 PM): * the Transmundane plane. When the Transmundane has nothing else to completely dominate and transport, the sort of portal closes. Once the portal is closed by the same means as it was once opened, the subjects entities are forever trapped within.<E>

WickedDevice (9:20:23 PM): The concept works, in short. Although there are several things about it that could be exploited, it's a very plausible attack and would essentially work on people that don't know what they are doing.
bloodygrrr (9:20:54 PM): But wouldn't I need to use a Phantasmic portal thingy instead of a Bioetheric?
WickedDevice (9:21:48 PM): It wouldn't make much different. By using bioetherical, you can assault all entities comprising him...phantasmic would just create a link.

WickedDevice (9:23:07 PM): Basically, the intent of creating these planes and energies is to spur someone on to create their own combinations. Just think of the planes as ingredients to a sandwich...some together would taste like shit...others compliment each other well.

WickedDevice (9:24:37 PM): But also, don't neglect scientific facts and theories. Using them in conjunction with planal manipulation can make you a great fighter. Not to mention, some scientific ideas alone are incredibly powerful.

Okay folks...You're going to hear it from the horse's mouth.

The transmundane is a plane completely devoid of life. It's completely unstable. The only thing that keeps it's stability are the fabrics, which are not to be penetrated...Otherwise...chaos ensues (Think time compression in FF8).

Now. With that said, it CAN be manipulated using threads from the fabrics, but because the plane is unstable, it's not likely to exist for long without a direct link from the controller. Loki is one who has a direct link, as his soul is bound to the fabrics. It's an easy way to kill Loki, and yet nobody ever seems to catch on.

In any case, that is that. Rupturing, creating rifts, tearing, removing threads without repair-WILL KILL YOU. Instability is cause for GREAT precaution. As Token mentioned...Yes...It's a plane of nothingness...an abyss...But that's only because it's held dormant by the fabrics.

That is all...Use it correctly, or practice chugging bleach.

Remember, guys, nothingness is never literally nothingness. That'd contradict Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, and therefore Quantum Mechanics. I hope Lokanas realizes this, too.

Don't use the Transmundane, simple. It's a creation of the AoA used by the AoA and not a part of planal manipulation anyways. It's basically someone taking somoene else's technique, saying it's legit and copying. Besides, the concept (once fully explained) is stupid anyways. As Lat says, l2physics.

From stuff I've read so far there are mentions of the possibility of places where the laws of physics as we know them don't apply. Besides, this is adding a fantasy element to the game. Fantasy doesn't have to follow physics. The transmundane is similar to my method with the void as it does not follow the laws of physics but it's own laws.

And Vist, why are you dissing something that doesn't follow physics when you put so much work into stuff with the Warp?

And, come on, Seige, that's a retarded thing to say. At this level of fighting, someone can't just say something with no explanation. Throwin' blind words, dog. And if someone did explain, and use 'things' and concepts that fit and follow a scientific basis, someone can't be immune to the principles of that math or science. That's where the line is broken, pretty much.

there are plenty of things in RP fighting that have nothing to do with actual physics. That's why it's called fantasy. If there is a real scientific law/theory that can explain what's happening then all the better, but that doesn't mean the things that can't be explained as easily cannot be used either. In doing so you are removing a large area of Roleplay when you cut out magic that doesn't follow conventional rules.

Much of this higher level fighting is based off of scientific theory anyway. Theory, no matter how accurate it may seem, is still theory until it can be proven. One day all of these theories may be proven, or they may be completely overturned by something even further beyond them that encompasses stuff such as this.

Granted that isn't likely, but it's a point.

Well, Siege, what you started off with is partially what I've said before in a couple of other threads. Even though everyone has their made up shit, it's still legit to use in RP. Nevertheless, magical concepts can still be explained through some form of science, like Quantum Physics for ONE, but when magic is used by someone who lacks description of it's fundamental workings, then there is a hole in their defense, where COUNTLESS concepts/theories/principles/laws/paradoxes can be exploited from it. All I'm saying in this paragraph is, "outside of physics" is pretty separate from the Quantum and theoretical, and that's what makes it so QUANTUM and THEORETICAL. Anyways, this isn't even the point I was trying to make in what I had previously said, so I'll go to that.


So, there are somethings that may contradict THEMSELVES. That's where the line is drawn. Especially, as I said before, you're going to make yourself look like a fucking idiot if you go off and use science to explain something, but then ignore the math and other scientific laws/principles that are applied to that scientific concept you're using (which is what Lokanas did, using "fabrics"). That's what I'm dogging on right now, and that's what my point has been. Go use your fun RP made-up stuff, people, it's not a big deal. However, when you use a scientific concept and bullshit around, don't contradict yourself, like people have notoriously done.


And, JUST by the way, don't say "a theory is just a theory." I guess the Theory of Gravity is just a theory, too. Scientific theories are much different than hypothetical theories; at least they don't contradict themselves, amirite?

Scientific theories are still theories. They have data that backs them up which makes them much more relevant, but there is still a chance for them to be overturned. The theory of gravity was overturned by the theory of relativity. Of course the theory of gravity worked so well that it is still in use unless the situation calls for something more exact.

I'm not saying I disagree with you here. If you try to use science to explain it then finish it that way.
I didn't try and use science to explain the void when I wrote it up. It's all fantasy and mythology for the most part. I did however draw parallels between what I had written and what some theories say, does it mean those theories apply to the void? No but it gives a reference that people can use to imagine what's going on.

It's not my job to defend transmundane though so I don't really have anything else to add here.

First of all, Newtonian Gravity was overturned by General Relativity, not the general concept of the Theory of Gravity. In General Relativity, it's the structure of spacetime that creates gravitational fields; therefore, it's another way of looking at the fundamental Theory of Gravity. So, yeah. A little off there. The Theory of Gravity remains, while General Relativity explains it's mechanics. Newtonian Gravity tried to explain the Theory of Gravity (because of how vague gravity really was), and Einstein overturned Newton's idea, not the Theory of Gravity in itself (which just says objects with mass attract one another - General Relativity just broadened on this).

If you're going to use such a blunt context, though, to describe theories as just theories, then ponies are just ponies and pencils are just pencils. Basically, scientific theories have the chance to be overturned, but that's not what I was saying, and doesn't have any affect of them 'just being theories'. Theory of Atomics, Theory of Germs, Theory of Gravity - not going to be literally overturned. Nonetheless, you brought up 'a theory being a theory' out of nowhere after I said Quantum Mechanics is ulterior to physics, so I don't know how it has anything to do with the point I was initially making. Doesn't matter now, though.

But, good deal with your Void concept. You're using theories to 'reference' and 'relate' to the behavior of the idea, but not theories to explain exactly how it works. That's fine.

This is what I was talking about. That one is my fault for not putting more information into it. I simply meant that the way gravity was originally thought to work was overturned with a newer idea that still held the principles of the original but included so much more.
