17:23:31 Alto The bright silver walls of the Arena glistened in the afternoon sun. Different panels and lights were spread all over the arena for functions that some could only guess at. The basic layout of the place was like a normal coliseum with stands surrounding a fighting pit. The building itself though seemed to be armed like a fortress and appeared to have even more secrets many would never know. A lone figure emerged from a passageway that led outside. He was riding on a very intricate hover-cycle which if one could say, skidded to a halt in the air and dropped easily into the dirt. The blond figure stepped from the vehicle and leaned back against the seat to await his opponent.
23:42:04 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~It was the faintest of sounds that would echo for what seemed an eternity. Slowly gaining decibels until it could nearly shatter ones eardrums. The sound was identical to that of a Harrier Jet. Overhead, falling at break neck speed was Fate. He took no precaution lest he found something interrupting to make it nessesary to land gently. As his feet touched, the entire arena shrugged as his immense force distributed the force throughout the entire arena. The tremors would stop only a second later. A slight bend at the knees was all the cushion that was needed. Standing upright and erect, he looked to his opponent whom had waited patiently to fight him. "Im glad there are still some that have patience and some sense of honor. You made the request, you may begin." He was not sure if it was a spar or a death match, but he was here to honor the request.~:{}:~
23:46:31 Alto smiled as he watched his opponent near. His body took on an odd appearance for a few seconds as plates of armor began to fold and slide out over his body, ending with a visor that closed down over his eyes. The armor in the pic but his right hand is a hand at the moment. He nodded as Fatal spoke. “I've heard a lot about you lately. Seems you've been making a big splash in the pool so to speak. I figured I'd come and see for myself how my wayward work has gone.” His wayward work? Well he wasn't the one who built Fatal so what exactly did he mean? Lights began to flicker over his visor seeming to look over every facet of Fatal's being for a few seconds. If Fatal had any sense about such things, it would almost feel as if he were being examined from the inside out, in fact he was.
23:52:53 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~He would find quickly that Fate had made several VERY powerful enhancements. Like the one that would not allow him to scan deeper than what he could visually see. He now bore an exterior coating on his armor that not only enhanced the armor, but did not allow ANY form of extra sensing to occur beyond what was visually obvious. How did it work? That is indeed one of the biggest secrets that Fate will never tell. So, he knew what he could see about him, not much considering the overall grand design of Fate. "So it seems. I do not see why they are all so impressed. I am nothing special in my personal opinion, though, I suppose in these parts I am unique. Whatever. I thank you for the compliment, indirect as it was.... He thought for a moment... "Your wayward Work? I do not have you stored in my database as one of my creators. What is your name?" He started to walk the outer wall of the coliseum, taking his time to get started, knowing that it would happen when it happened, enjoy yourself, no need to be<C>
23:54:39 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~Hasty all the time. He would reveal nothing of his little tricks yet, he wanted a full advantage if he could gain one. On that note he began extensive scanning. Using Bioscanners, subspace scanners, none-biological scans, and even wavelengths scans. This being struck him as something not to take lightly, so he would not.~:{}:~
00:00:55 Alto Only what he could visually see? Well, this was the point where Fatal's trust in his own systems was to be shaken. Alto wasn't scanning from the outside in. He was not merely looking through Fatal's form from this vantage point. His systems were much more advanced than that. Like how a 3 dimensional being looking down upon a 2 dimensional being can see everything about the other even though someone on the 2D beings own level would only be revealed what was on the surface. Ripples in time and space, fluctuations in the physical and temporal world around Fatal provided the windows into his world in oh so many ways that Alto's scanners would pick up. No he was not merely looking at his opponent level to level. He was looking from levels below and levels above scattered throughout time and space, picking up the echoes of where the being had been, and the ripples that showed where he might eventually be and putting it all together into a composite of the whole. <c>
00:01:06 Alto As for Fatal's own scans, Alto appeared human, though highly cybernetic and nanite enhanced. Of course, appearances could be deceiving when one reached a level of technology such as this. Yes he was a cyborg, but that was not all to be seen. “You may call me Seth.” He raised his hands and made a box from his thumb and forefingers. Spreading his hands apart, the air in front of him began to shimmer like a computer screen suspended in mid air and entirely 3 dimensional. Upon the screen was Fatal.
00:18:46 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~Fate Stopped dead in his tracks as his scans came back. Looking over the man "What is your purpose fighting with me? There is nothing you could gain from it. And no Logical way I can come out the victor." He knew he was going to have to put out anyway. Well, the man would find that as far potential limitations, Fate had none. He had potentially limitless potential for expansion. He could utilize an infinite amount of energy, his structural integrity could increase with the power that he diverted to his systems, rendering him practically indestructible by any standard fashion. He could quell any basic manipulations, and was currently working on a way to quell all manipulations. His insides were completely hollow. All his systems were 'unhackable' and virtual. He could not be cut off from his power source by any means, as he was using the known highest level of system link to it, if he was cut off, he could absorb any energy type to power himself. That was just for basic starters. Im not giving the<C>
00:20:37 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~Public everything. "Seth, it is a pleasure to meet with you, but I fail to see your purpose, or reasoning there in." Well, the man knew everything about him, so he would just kind of randomly allow his spikes to erupt out and jump back in, almost a bored habbit.~:{}:~
00:27:57 Alto followed Fatal's movements with his eyes as the other stopped. He was pretty sure that if the machine could show surprise he would be right now. As for the figure floating before him. Alto began to manipulate the figure with his fingers, zooming in on parts, removing others, and twisting the image until Fatal would recognize an exact replica of his internal virtual systems. It was more than a replica though. Think of it sort of like a technological voodoo doll. Connected through those same pathways Alto had scanned. A few tweaks with his fingers and a small section would light up. Why exactly? Fatal would just have to see that as it progressed. “I want you to come at me with everything you've got. Otherwise you won't get the benefit of what I have to show you.”
02:54:47 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~This was not a very pleasing turn of events. He was NOT one to be outdone in the tech area, but before he even tried he was being ordered, he knew he had been. A slightly angry growl was all that would be heard. Was it him? The sound had no origin, only that it was heard. The obvious would state it to be him though. "My best huh? Very well." He stood there for a moment. His display would show his energy levels beginning to sky rocket. Each system systematically firing up. Literally every system he had began to charge. Soon his exterior temperature began to increase as well. His left hand shifting into that famous cannon. A bluish glow started to emit from it, however, it changed color to a reddish orange, then back to the bluish. His physics emitter kicked on, however it was not operating within standard permitters. It was doing the manipulating. Only basic though. Setting up a virtual grid for some reason or another. The entire area was slowly being converted. The speed at which it happened however,<C>
02:56:40 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~ Was rather startling considering that it was not made for that purpose. Current shot about his form, oddly controlled. It already had its pathway set for it. Even more, that coating on his exterior began to act, how though was not certain. He turned his back to the man "As you wish." Whats next? Lets let Alto post first.~:{}:~
03:03:41 Alto beneath his helmet, he was smiling. As Fatal began to act, sections of that image began to change as if they were activating. Of course most were obvious based on position. One was odd however, it didn't correlate to any of the changes Fatal had made. The section lighting up correlated to Fatal's mind, in particular the distaste at being ordered, at being shown more than what he was. Why exactly was this area reacting so much? “Good, good, keep it coming.” As he spoke, Alto began to trace through the image, drawing more designs new parameters with each motion of his hands. His right hand continued to work as his left hand stretched out to the air in front of him almost like a mime in a box. It actually appeared as if he were pressing against some invisible barrier around his form.
03:14:43 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~The six spikes on the front of his feet, three per foot, soon impaled the ground. If he was so advanced then he could handle this no problem. Like stated he was facing away, that was for a reason. Soon, the thruster ports upon his back. Now, if he knew Fate at all, then he knew he could put out Tremendous amounts of boost. And so it was. That tell tale gathering of energy only a half second before it fired. He knew there would be something there to deflect it. However, that did not diminish the feeling of joy it brought him to know he still was getting his fun in at taking a small crack at Mr. Tech over there. If it was deflected, the jet that spout out behind him would not only, even though the were opposing sides of the arena, would not only reach him, it would also go through the wall of the coliseum where ever it hit it, melting through it, and continuing on for another several hundred feet. About as long as a 150 car train, and at least as wide. That was the outer limit of his Thrusters, <C>
03:16:35 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~After that he was in danger of melting the thruster ports out. That was only held for a second, but that was all that was needed. In that moment, he had managed to completely end up behind the man before the flame could even leave the route it was given. Again, he was using everything he could muster without charging for that specific action. He was charging, but why? It was not obvious yet, but in a couple minutes here it would be.~:{}:~
03:22:27 Alto flame filled the coliseum. Alto in his little box was left unphased by this development. Exactly how? Quite simple really, the faster something moved, the lest it traveled in the fourth dimension. This was a general part of relativity. Alto had just reversed the order. He had slowed down the air molecules in a field around him to the point where they had no motion in the three standard dimensions, they were simply static points in time. A static point that would not be moved by a searing blast of flame, nor would it conduct heat which left Alto in a still cool pocket section. More pieces of that image lit up, and he seemed to reach into nowhere and produce a whole new image. The image itself was obvious, it was a brain. This image was introduced to the already altered image of Fatal's virtual structure. At that point, Alto would begin to trace even more on the design, melding the brain with the other in a seamless whole. “Keep focused. You're almost ready.” He would turn to face his opponent. <c>
03:22:30 Alto “Tell me, do you believe you have a soul?”
03:30:04 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~He was however, still frustrated. The question he asked was the cause. He did not like that subject, but he would always talk on it, odd enough. Keep focused? Oh, trust me, he was. This was a new one, even for him. He had not tested it yet, but it had the potential to obliterate planetary class objects with ease, so he figured what the hell, the man stopped his flame jet (big surprise) then he could stop this. Sequentially each system's power was diverted to an area near the chest cavity. Each except for core systems shut down, all that power that had built up switching to the chest cavity. His cannon returned to a hand, his spikes, except for the feet, returned to rest. Even his scanners shut down. However, that PSE was still at work, its job was almost done. Nearly there. By the time he had finished diverting all his systems power, it was done and ready. Soon, a single pair of quarks were pulled apart, and released, allowing them to race towards each other. They would slam together right in front<C>
03:34:52 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~Of Fate. As they obliterated one another, they released a single graviton. However, the energy that was released cause a chain reaction of Quarks to separate and slam back together, each one releasing a Graviton. This is where the second part of the PSE altered came in. It did not allow them to escape as it was intent on keeping manipulations down, so it held them in place, not allowing their effect to range into Fate. This process continued for a good ten seconds. This in turn collected a massive amount of Gravitational influence in that one, controlled area. Compressed, controlled, and dilated. With one more tampering of his systems, all that energy first containing this pressure, then forcing the shift in Gravity to be pushed along its way, moving swiftly along the Spacial fabrics, as gravity did. The gravity so intense it was folding the Fabrics around it. This did not occure however until he released the PSE, which was not until it was a good ten feet from him. In turn, as it was released, the <C>
03:37:54 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~Gravitons spread like a shot gun effect. This in turn, would fold the entire area of spacial Fabrics around Seth over itself, causing the boundaries themselves to erase him, if it did work. However, a warning flashed across his visor Warning, A Fatal Exception Has Occured. Shutting down to prevent damage to Core Systems. He was not designed for something that intensive, especially the amount of structural integrity he would have to add to his system to not be destroyed himself by it all. He hunched over to one knee, his systems going cold after the firing of the Gravity Cannon/Grid fire weapon hybrid.~:{}:~
03:48:15 Alto Fatal's mistake here was not thinking that Alto would have a device similar to the PSE. In fact he had something even more refined and structured, the Reality Matrix. Of course he wasn't going to use that just yet. As Fatal was beginning his chain reaction. Alto would put the finishing touches on the image and then wave over them with his hand causing the entire thing to glow with an eerie light. If this indeed was like a technological voodoo doll, then why had it done nothing? Because like a normal voodoo doll, it needed something of the victim to form a link. In this case, Fatal had provided it with the engineered chain reaction. The energy placed into the reaction, coupled with the will behind it, would be the link this Techno-voodoo doll would need. Alto took a step back, allowing the chain reaction to swallow his image before activating the Reality Matrix and roughly imposing a order back into the area around him. The image would glow and disappear for a minute before appearing once again directly <c>
03:48:20 Alto in front of Fatal and rushing forward. It wasn't moving through the typical space perceived by the inhabitants here though, but a visible stream of subspace as it seemed to rush into Fatal's form and and emerge like a patch over the Virtual workings already there. What had Alto done? He had in effect been working on a mind for Fatal, one that contained all the intricacies and possibilities of a human mind, including those possibilities for expansion otherwise known as a soul. He had introduced a ghost into the machine. One other thing had been included in that image as well, a virtual representation of the Reality Matrix, a finished version of something Fatal had been in the process of creating. Why introduce the equivalent of a soul into a machine? Simple, to allow Fatal to expand beyond what he already was and exist purely as a virtual form. Of course he could still manipulate his current form, but a virtual form traveling subspace could also inhabit other articles of technology as well.
04:11:11 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~Fate at first, thought of that question “Tell me, do you believe you have a soul?” He thought on it. "He didn't know what to think at first, even though his attack completely flopped, seeing as that was the best he could do in this form. "I... Don't know." His scans showed a difference, but it just kept reading that it was a Ghost in the System. Obviously a term for and unknown factor. "What did you do?" He, again, did not like not knowing what was going on with his own system. This was the first time anything like this had ever happened. He simply stood there running various scans, finding the finished product of his Reality Matrix installed virtually now.~:{}:~
04:13:18 Alto His helmet folded back now as he watched the stunned fighter. “Examine yourself, but don't use your sensors, use your mind. Try to find what is different and you will realize what I did.” Yeah it sounds all zen and mystic like, but it's really just a bunch of 1's and 0's floating around in the fabric of reality.
04:25:43 [~*TF*~Fatal_Exception~] ~:{}:~It took no longer than the man to speak for his form to suddenly shut down, and a blueish little cloud of energy floating about it's old forms head. A moment later, His old form itself crumbled into what appeared to be dust. In truth, he had commanded the nannites that his outer coating was made of, to replicate. Meaning, his entire old form, became a bunch of indestructible little nannites. However, within the moment, they reconstructed into a new form. A design he was entertaining for a while, never really had a way to actually accomplish this without committing suicide till now. i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc180/The_Unworthy/Robotics/Robo_by_Viviphyd.jpg This was his new form.~:{}:~
