Magic very little
Reality Manipulation barely any
19:07:40 Alto the arena looked much like the coliseum in the regular nexus, in fact it occupied the same position in reference to it's subspace location. The massive computer which ran this place had constructed everything down to the tiniest detail. It was obviously a different arena though as odd digital lines and unit markings traced their way across the entire landscape, and the colors were just way too crisp. Alto sat in the center of the arena, his hammer laying at his feet as he appeared to be tinkering with his latest work. The “Lord of the Realm” was never above grunt and field work, in fact he enjoyed the exercise thereof.
19:11:21 [Wolfprince] *Fenris would walk into the arena. There were quite a few "new" ones around though this one was probably ancient and had a long history, he had never been there before, or if he had it was a while ago and he did not remember all that well. His forearms were vambraced, hands gaunleted, his sabre on his right hip bastard sword on his left. He would look around and noted the technological almost transcendental nature of the place. He looked at the only other person, the guy with the giant warhammer and seized him up.*
19:17:04 Alto sapphire blue eyes looked up at the newcomer as Wolf entered the arena. The place seemed too quiet, footsteps echoing from all the smooth worked surfaces. A slight tilt of the head acknowledged the other individual and Alto replaced whatever he had been working on in his pack. He stood, and the pack at his feet simply dissolved into nothingness, seeming to pixelate and break apart into coded components, each strand of information floating off as they faded into nothingness. “I wondered how long I was going to have to sit here before someone showed up.” He smiled at the other individual and held out his hand for his maul. The great hammer didn't even seem to move as it was on the arena floor then in the man's hand seeming for an instant to occupy both spaces at once, or perhaps both spaces were the same for a subtle fraction.
19:19:46 [Wolfprince] *Fenris nodded. He then drew his bastard sword in left hand, sabre in his right, the sabre looked to be made of bone, while the Bastard sword was a bit more "technological" he brought both blades up above his head and then put them together, the bone blade shifting its shape and bonding with the bsword as it elongated forming a large 5 1/2 foot Zweihander, the outer layer of the blade comprised of the red bone like material while the inner portion was still the bastard sword, the hilt also elongating to compensate. His weapon chosen he brought it ahead of himself, holding it in "plow" his arms chambered with the massive sword pointing ahead at Alto though angled to point slightly upward as his left leg slid ahead and both knees bent. "Ready?" he asked.*
19:27:07 Alto sized up the weapons that the other man drew. Anyone with a sense of fighting could see the strengths and weaknesses inherent in this matchup. The maul was powerful, but likely slow. The dual weapons were weaker, but had greater speed and versatility. As the weapons were forged into one however, the balance would shift slightly. Now both weapons were capable of greater damage, but hindered in movement due to size. Was this a concession on Wolf's part, or did he understand that the maul was not as it seemed. As the other man addressed him, Alto would twist his right wrist just enough to set the butt of his maul on the ground next to him, causing the floor of the arena to ripple slightly as if it were water. The ripples seemed to have no effect on either of the combatants however. “Ready.”
19:30:55 [Wolfprince] *The major reason Fenris had made his Zweihander was the fact it would give him greater range as it allowed a thrust as well, but also gave him power. Though not nearly as expedient as his dual blades the Zweihander having a counter balance would still have a slight advantage in speed and versatility but not quite as strong an advantage in power as the hammer. He glared at the ripples and then brought his blade across his arm making a short nick, he then flicked his sword spreading the blood too and fro and peppering the earth with it, before closing in, his blade held ahead of him despite its size a skilled swordsman could compensate for the weight somewhat allowing an easier recovery than Alto would have with the maul, thusly Fenris simply closed in and thrusted towards Alto's chest.*
19:39:07 Alto Wolf needed to remember weapons he had faced in the past. Alto didn't just build stuff, he was a supplier. Quite a few people that Wolf had fought before utilized gear Alto had constructed for them. The nick and subsequent spreading of blood didn't go unnoticed by the scientist, but it wasn't something he was worried about at the moment. Wolf was likely trying to set up a counter for what he thought was coming, so it was going to come down to which little trick was the best. The initial attack wasn't anything impressive, closing the distance was always the most tedious part of these endeavors. As Wolf neared, Alto shifted his right foot behind his maul and changed his weight to slide his left foot back, putting his right side toward the man with the massive maul in between. Of course, stabbing past the handle wouldn't exactly be a tough prospect, but once done it would be easy enough to shift the maul's position slightly so as to use the handle to cause the blade to veer off course and pass in front of Alto. Through it all, the maul stayed rooted to the ground.
20:19:44 [Wolfprince] *Fenris smirked, not one to remain idle he would bring his blade back up. "HAH!" he would move to meet Alto as he jogged towards him. He was momentarily caught off guard by the sudden elongation- dammit
19:48:45 [Wolfprince] *His blade veered off course, sent aside towards his own left, he did not like how his opponent was holding the maul, it was screaming of magical trickery, thusly as his blade was deflected he would let the weight of the Zweihander carry it full circle around his head in a revolutionary arc which would leave the blade cutting at Alto's left side with considerable power which would make it hard to block or parry head on, keeping mindful of the hammer heads posistion as it could easily come up most likely though he should have some warning when Alto finally decided to get serious. His blades trajectory meaning to carry it towards Alto's left side hip, still keeping things relatively mild. He was also mindful that the weight of the hammers head could be used to bolster a defense should his opponent try to lock or deflect his blade with a sudden maneuver.*
19:57:54 Alto As the stab veered off course, Alto would straighten out his maul again, and simply rotate himself around the interposing obstacle to block Wolf's path. Magic? Au contraire, Alto wasn't using any magic at the moment. Whether or not he was capable of such feats would remain to be seen. What he was using though was technology. As the spin and slash came around toward his hip, Wolf would get the only warning he would be privy to. The air suddenly felt almost too still, an eerie sensation that would last only the slightest fraction of a second before a massive ear shattering concussion spread forth from the maul turning the air itself into a buffeting force that though not solid was still going to pack a punch. If that wasn't bad enough, a ten foot diameter crater would spread out from the base of the maul pelting the area with shards of earth and turning the first few feet around Alto into a veritable sandblaster. If Wolf managed to stay his ground and continue his swing, he would find Alto's armored left forearm in position to deflect the slash toward the ground.
20:04:08 [Wolfprince] *Fenris was indeed privvy to the sudden change in the environment. He was caught in the blast, his form shifting during the attack to ward off the majority of the blow, the sandblaster like method diverted by natural warding which created a flux around him which would cause the sand to move off at either side of him while also partially dispersing the attack. It would knock him back somewhat, weakening his attack, which otherwise Alto would have had issues with stopping with just his arm, his attack diverted towards the earth , Fenris channeled his energy into the blade and it resonated with power for a brief instant before it hit the earth at Alto's feet. The sudden strike would transfer a chaotic force directly into the ground in front of Fenris spreading it out in a conical destructive explosion comparible to Alto's previous attack the "sunder strike" hitting the ground suddenly and then causing a powerful backlash which if successful would catch Alto and send him flying to the opposite side of the stadium, the suddenness of the attack would make it unlikely that Alto would defend completely against it, though Fenris had nicks from some of the sand which his wards had missed, as well as bruising, though the crater created from the sunderstrike would increase the crater to 20 feet cracking the earth itself as Fenris recovered from the previous attack sustaining minor injuries by virtue of his wards but still hurt a bit.*
20:17:09 Alto Alto's saving grace at the moment was the lack of any actual earth beneath his feet. At the same moment Wolf's attack was resonating up, Alto was just beginning his descent, a fall that would lessen the force but still cause the fighter to somersault backwards out of the pit. The maul flew off toward the wall as alto his the ground on his hands and toes, skidding back a few extra feet before finally stopping. The final amount of rearward momentum was used to help push Alto back up to his feet. He eyed the other man across the pit and smiled. His lip was bleeding slightly, but otherwise he didn't look any worse for wear. “Well then, now that the warm up is out of the way.” Alto would begin to jog forward, picking up speed until he hit the edge of the crater. He didn't fall in, however, as each footfall was met with new bricks of the arena floor beginning to rebuild itself. He cleared the distance between the two combatants rapidly, apparently unfazed by the reach of Wolf's weapon. When he was almost within the range of that blade, Alto would reach forward. The arena did that strange 'sameness' bit again as the maul from across the arena was suddenly in Alto's grasp and swinging down for the ground just in front of wolf. Just as it seemed that the scientist was aiming for another ground shattering attack, the maul's handle would lengthen that last crucial foot, putting it well within striking length of Wolf's head.
