21:23:24 ~{TF}~Berrikar nothing big or amazing, the figure simple strides into the pit of the coliseum and shrugs off his coat in the corner before turning to face the other man that was here. They both knew what was about to happen, so no words were exchanged. Berrikar merely nodded to the other man and removed a foot long stick from his back. This stick rapidly extended into a staff slightly longer than he was tall. He was ready.
21:28:27 [Wolfprince] *Fenris eyed the staff his opponent had decided to use, it was no secret that longer shafted weapons such as staves and spears had an advantage against blades, he would have to compensate. He gave his opponent a grin and drew both blades simultaneously from their sheathes falling into what Fen referred to as "the narrow stance." his left foot would lead while his right foot went back as he thinned his frame. His rapier held in his left would be pointing straight at his opponent while the hand and a half sword would be held across Fens exposed shoulder. He was essentially cutting off his opponents options, as long as Fen maintained a certain amount of proximity to his opponent he would be foreced to attack his front and deal with his heavily fortified guard. The WolfPrince would then begin to shuffle his feet to an unheard broken rhythm before making a beelind towards his opponent, his eyes on that staff he would stop before making melee range skidding on the ground and kicking up dust, he would then use the -
21:29:59 [Wolfprince] - momentum of his slide and pivot to his right while stepping off with leading foot, the momentum would carry him towards his opponent while his pivot would move him out of range from an imediate counter, though his opponent would probably send the staff coming at Fen from the direction of his movement his hand and a half sword would be more than willing to compensate as his rapier barely lifted attempting to nick his opponents thigh with the deadly tip.*
21:45:18 ~{TF}~Berrikar pure white eyes watched Fenris carefully as the other man began to move. Yes, he had the reach, but he knew well enough not to overextend that reach too early. A staff such as this was not only a long range weapon. He watched Fenris' approach, gauging his opponent's movement and momentum carefully watching for any sign of what was to come, any muscle twitch, any glance of the eye or adjustment of the man's weight. Berrikar was trained to read his opponents, and was planning on making full use of that training. As Fenris came in, Berrikar kept his staff close, waiting until the last moment to sweep up from the inside out toward his right, driving that tip up and away from his form with the right side of the staff. Using the same momentum, the left side would angle down and sweep low for the back of Fenris' legs aimed to take his opponent off his feet. If Fenris did indeed fall, the left side of the staff would then be brought back toward his own lower left as the right side came over the top and down <c>
21:45:28 ~{TF}~Berrikar aimed to take his opponent across the throat.
21:54:37 [Wolfprince] *Fenris was no fool, and he knew how staff's worked from afew fights that he had had the privelage of being in. He was thankful for the experience at this point as his rapier was apparently parried by the staff, Fen was very good at predicting movements, and the staff for all its range and complexity was a little restrictive in terms of counters, which mostly relied on wide sweeping strokes and thrusts. As His opponents staff reversed its posistion and headed for the back of Fens legs he would simply jump up in place the low trajectory of the staff passing harmlessly under his feet as his evasion took place. Fen would hop over the staff, Meanwhile as Fens blade was parried, he would simply loosen his grip on the rapier allowing the momentum of his opponents counter to carry his blade into a revolution, it would travel counter clockwise instead of forcing Fen to the side as his opponent most likely intended. the simple quick revolution would bring his rapier to the shaft of his opponents staff towards the -
21:57:39 [Wolfprince] - lower middle hopefully keeping it in place, though he knew his opponent would most likely reverse its direction which was why he kept his hand and a half sword in place to guard. If successful his blade would strike along the staff and then slide down the smooth surface towards his opponents chest. His opponent should have had a rough time guarding since he was still using the first portion of the attack, and also due to proximity, as Fenris did this he would also kick off with his leading leg intending to carry his thrust into a slash across his opponents chest, trying to turn his counter into an evasion simultaneously.*
22:06:16 ~{TF}~Berrikar it was certainly a nice move by wolf, but he made one critical mistake in his logic. His blade was on top of the staff during this whole slide. About the time that Wolf thrust forward and kick off, Berrikar would simply force his staff straight up with both hands. His staff parralel to the ground, this would push the thrust over his head. It also would have the added benefit of making use of that hand and a half sword a bit more difficult since it appeared to still be over Fenris' shoulder and ready to guard, and the arm was being pushed up which would pinch the area between the neck and the shoulder making fast movement of said sword extremely difficult without Fenris injuring himself. At this time, Berrikar would be bringing up his left knee to meet Fenris' forward momentum and hopefully take the man in the gut. As his foot landed, Berrikar would twist his hands and release the sections of the staff turning the one solid piece into a three section staff. <c>
22:06:28 ~{TF}~Berrikar The section in his left hand would fold over to lock that rapier blade in place while the section in his right hand would fold forward aimed underneath Fenris' chin to lock the hand and a half blade in place against the man's shoulder. From this position, it would only require a simple rotation of the hips and a bit of force to take Fenris to the ground with his blades still pinned and a section of the staff pressing down onto his windpipe. Berrikar would follow up the trip with his knee again aimed to land all his weight on the man's stomach to help that lock and hold just ever so much.
22:15:08 [Wolfprince] *Fenris would smile as his opponent apparently pushed his blade upward with the staff, it was common sense that his opponent would be capable of such a feat but as the attack went over his opponents head Fenris would already have a remedy for the situation his opponent was hoping for. As Fen was forced forward he would meet his opponents knee with his own which would be lifted up. But what was this? HIs opponents staff was seperating to form a three section staff. Well he had only fought the best with that particular weapon, but it had only been once and he wasnt sure what his opponent was planning though the staff was much more flexible than its previous incarnation. "Damn it..." he thought through gritted teeth as his opponent attempted to lock his rapier in place. However as his opponent attempted to lock his hand and half sword in place his arm would move under the staff while simultaneously bringing the blade of his sword up to parry and keep his opponent from getting any bright ideas about taking -
22:18:58 [Wolfprince] - advantage of his supposedly broken guard. If successful the blade would catch the staff with its strongest point the base while his elbow inverted and the force of his opponents counter forced Fenris to the side, he would utilize this turning in place and using the extreme proximity to pivot once more though this time using his extended elbow to strike his opponent across the temple while moving his rapier forward towards his own body using the locked blade to help force his opponent into the incoming blow. If successful it would most likely knock his opponent out, though Fen would also push off with his hand and a half blade at the end to hopefully throw the staff off of the loop and retreive his rapier from its place while shuffling backward to reaccess the situation.*
