Winner: Sardis
21:35:52 Sardis subtle vibrations in the fabric of space and time would ripple above the arena causing the emergence of a small speck of light above this place of death. The speck grew, fed from those vibrations, seeming to be a miniature universe unto itself with stars and planets spinning in it's minuscule yet infinite depths. The light began to grow rabidly pulling energy directly from the bonds of the air around it as they broke and glowing brighter as it shifted into a form reminiscent of a seven sided star of pure light. The points began to lengthen taking new forms as legs, arms, a head, and finally two metallic wings emerged from that light. Sardis stepped forward from his realm into the material plane. His sapphire eyes surveyed the arena with an apathetic glance. Places of death such as this were an inevitability in this world. He didn't hate them, but nor did he enjoy them. Those bladed wings would twitch slightly as the figure descended into the stands. <c>
21:36:01 Sardis Those wings appeared to heavy to keep the figure aloft, there was obviously something else about him that kept this being lighter than air when needed.
21:46:35 [†Severus† whispers to Sardis] This the low power fight, right?
21:47:46 [Sardis whispers to †Severus†] yeah
21:48:07 [Sardis whispers to †Severus†] his entrance was planar, but it won't be involved in the fight
17:37:41 [†Severus†] «‡» He watched the mans entrance, and he was indeed fascinated, but he wasn't in the leats worried. Why be worried until you have to be? He clapped, loudly, so that it echoed in the empty Coliseum, and he began his journey to the pits below. Wlaking down the stands, and jumping over the wall, and then making his way to the challenge ahead. He stopped and spoke to the man "Nice parlor trick, i wouldn't mind learning that, maybe after i kick your ass, you could teach me, Eh?" He laughed slightly as he turned and crouched slgihtly waiting fo rthe opponent «‡»
17:45:15 Sardis laughed softly as the man spoke. Everyone in this place had their own sense of humor, this wasn't exactly an odd one, in fact quite common. Still, Sardis found the comment amusing enough to elicit that soft laugh. “I will be more than happy to teach you, but first I believe we have other business.” He pulled out a 20ft spiked chain and fed it into his bladed wings before pulling out two curved blades and facing the man. “I believe you said kicking my ass.”
17:52:54 [†Severus†] «‡» He grinned "That's right..i said 'Kicking your ass' " A soft growl let loose from his thraot as he saw the blades, and the chain, and he held his hand out to the side, and his own blade appeared, Gluttony, his demon bone sword. This balde a tainted white, wiht a ruff egde, ti looked liek somethign a caveman would carry really, he stood completely still, his breathing seeming to stop, but it had only slowed. And he waited «‡»
17:57:28 Sardis began to move. His bladed wings were more accustomed to plucking and weaving the threads of reality but that skill transferred deftly into that spiked and bladed chain as he began to weave it through the air around his form, twisting and spinning the chain in ever increasing arcs with ever increasing speed like a dancer twirling a ribbon, a ribbon that would shred those near enough. Faster and faster until the chain was nothing but a blur nearly invisible to the eye, and then Sardis would rush forward. Clearing the distance between the two rapidly. 30 feet, 20 feet, 10 feet and that whirling blade of death would now come into play as Severus would be inside it's range if he didn't move. Twisting and spinning in so many arcs, the chain could literally shred the other taking first the head, then the feet and tightening ever more with each spin to remove another blood piece. Those curved blades were held ready well inside the area of the chain's effect in case the other had something up his sleeve.
18:02:47 [†Severus†] «‡» The chain was noted, and the way to stopm it was alreayd put into motion, he threw his blade, foreward, like a dagger, controling it with telekinesis to catch the blade and swing the opposite way, causing it to tangle, while this happened he would be moving, ghosting in a blur towards the man, his hard as rock skin would be merely scratch if the balde held no hidden effect. HIs left fist would attempt to come into contact wiht his ribcage on the right side «‡»
18:07:10 Sardis alright, so it was an easy foil if only momentary as the dagger drew into the path of the chain disrupting it's spin just long enough to cause an opening. Now though, Severus had to deal with the fact that that blade chain would still be spinning now encasing the two in a tight proximity with no way for the other to back out. As for the fist, a few of those bladed feathers on Sardis' wings would bend down enclosing his chest like a shield. As Severus' fist connected with that shield, Sardis would raise his right foot quickly kicking forward in an attempt to knock the man back into the spinning blades of the chain.
18:25:14 [†Severus†] «‡» As he was blocked and kicked back, his sword would jump up from the gournd, in the way of the chain, and Sev would fly past it, landing hard on the sands and rolling to his feet. The sword would then fly to his hand, and he would reach behind him, pulling his pistol, Lucious, and aiming it at Sar's chest. He would fire 3 shots. This was a 9mm pistol, hollow point rounds, if hitting they would make a small hole going in, but tear up the insides and leave a big one going out. «‡»
18:31:08 Sardis that little blade in the way of the chain was starting to get annoying, but Sardis would have to deal with it later. For the moment he had other problems. As Severus raised the gun, those bladed wings would close surrounding Sardis in a metallic shell. The bullets would ring and ricochet as the hit this barrier. If Sardis was lucky, a ricochet might his the other man, but probably not. Feeling out through the positive energy that was in this realm, Sardis decided to take care of that gun right away. He would simply flood the weapon with positive energy packing it in so tight that the gunpowder in the bullets would ignite. Those bullets that weren't in the chamber had to go somewhere, which meant the gun was likely to burst if Severus didn't have a way of preventing it.
18:38:43 [†Severus†] «‡» What the hell, first, it's not a little blade..it was a BIG one..it was a sword...7 foot long....not little. As the bulltes hit and ricocheted, they wouldn't hit him, but would hit the Coliseum walls, and imbedded themselves. BUt suddenly, his gun burst, schrapnel flying back and catching him in the face, knocking him back, and only scratching him slgihtyl, but he didn't care, he jumped ot his feet, and an aura swirled aorund him, he was charging alittle bit of "Ki" energy "You....You killed Lucious, you killed my bay....now you die motherfucker!" His hands glowed, and held to low powered Ki blasts, Way below that of the Planar or world ending Scale, and he let them loose. These would aim true at the man, attempting to make him explode, haha, that's right, explode, form the outside in. «‡»
18:39:16 [Sardis] little as in a demeaning term. He has a fricken 25ft wingspan of pure blades
18:44:53 [†Severus†] Oh...lol....Didn't know that...
18:53:06 Sardis at least the gun was out of the picture. That was one annoyance down and one larger man sized one to go. Now there was a new obstacle, a yes Ki. Well now, this was a completely different matter from bullets. Bullets were invasive and naturally destructive, Ki was natural life energy present in all things. Those bladed wings would fan out quickly into what looked like a modified version of one of the beginning forms in Tai'Chi. Sardis would momentarily thrust those two curved blades into the ground as be brought his hands up. There were two blasts to deal with, so his wings would focus on one while his hands focused on the other. The principle in Tai'chi is movement, usually circular and always controlled, focusing the flow of chi through out the body and the area around it. For the purpose of simplicity here, his wings will mimic the movements of his hands dealing with the second blast. As the blasts approached, his movements would start out almost painfully slowly, his hands rotating as he stepped to <c>
18:53:08 Sardis the side, sliding his right foot back. His hands would move in a circular fashion spinning to the point where his right hand was on top and his left was on the bottom. This is known by a few names, but simply grasping the orb is decent enough here. As the blast would connect with that space between his hands, he would continue his movement with his hands spinning to redirect the flow from a blast to a contained orb. Still spinning, his left hand would come to the top and then push downward as his right hand raised. This would redirect the flow into the ground around him. Centering himself again, his hands would reverse direction pulling the energy from the ground and condensing it into his bones, a way of multiplying the power of chi. He would finish his spin facing Severus once again as he pushed out the now charged blasts back toward the man.
18:59:39 [†Severus†] «‡» Whoo, that was a mouthful, and his two blasts were sent back at him in the same he sent them. He was now slightly angered, but even more so about his precious gun. And he would do somethign diffrent from the man. The Ki blasts coming towards him, would meet an obstacle, as Sev fired 4 more Ki blasts. The first two smashing into the flying ones, and exploding them, a cloud of energy and snad was kicked up, while ther following two were again aimed at the man, and hidden in the cloud of sand «‡»
19:04:03 Sardis the wonderful thing about chi is that it is something you must sense first before you can ever see it. Whether in the body or in the world this principle remains the same. Sardis would simply perform his little kata again, but this time he would slightly alter it's effect. Instead of sending concentrated blasts back at Severus, he would condense the energy even more before rapidly spreading it back into the cloud of sand sending millions of tiny projectiles at near light speed rushing toward Severus. A single grain of sand might not be much, but at those speeds millions of them could tear an individual to pieces.
19:09:07 [†Severus†] «†» This was indeed a problem, he wasn't that fast, nor could he with stand being torn to pieces. What could he do? Oh yea, he had another ability, duh. Form the sands under shot up a wall of flmaes, now these were no ordinary flames, it was hellfire, and he condensed, like Sardis did the Ki, he condensed the fire, it still burned, but was hard eneough to wiht stand the millions of sand particals, while bruning hot enoguh to turn them all into tiny little glass fragments. Haha, ingenious, he would remain on the defense for now «†»
19:17:39 Sardis normal fire was much easier to deal with, but since the hellfire wasn't in fact effecting him, Sardis would leave it be for the moment. His wings would begin twirling that chain again, faster and faster. This time however, he would begin to fill that chain with positive energy, and continue to spin. Much like the principle behind an electromagnet, this spinning would cause a suction that when combined with the charged chain would begin to pull all of the positive energy in the area into Sardis. Positive energy is the energy of life, usually kept at a balance with negative energy or the energy of death. If the positive energy was pulled out of a single space, like it was being pulled out of the space around Severus, it would only leave negative energy in its wake. Leaving nothing but death. This would literally starve out the positive energy in Severus' body as it had no way to recharge itself with no connection to the positive energy around him. Empty positive energy reserves means dead Severus.
19:22:47 Sardis Of course the man might still have some trick to pull out and stop this from happening.
19:24:15 [†Severus†] «‡» And yet another problem not solvable wiht fire, ki, or anythig in his arsenal. He was literally screwed, but since it only effected the area around Sev, he would simply do the one thing, no one would ever think to do, He MOVED. Omg, not possible, but he did it. He jumped back and rolled and came to his feet. He grinned, all attempts to kill him were in vain, and yet, he'd dtill remain on the defense, he was a persistant bastard. «‡»
19:32:07 Sardis ah, Severus may have avoided the initial system shock of losing all his positive energy, but now Sardis held within his grasp an exorbitant amount that needed some place to go. This time he would release the energy spreading outward from the tips of his bladed wings to form a circle around the combatants. Stepping backward out of the circle, Sardis would allow the energy to expand its field into a sphere around the place where Severus was. This meant that even it he moved he would still have to come into contact with the energy. At this point, the sphere would begin to contract pulling all of the latent positive energy into a smaller and smaller point. The energy of life may not at first seem harmful, but there can be too much of a good thing. Just as depleting the reserves in one's body is deadly, overflowing those reserves to the point which they burst can be just as devastating.
19:35:31 [†Severus†] Damn....i'm stuck...give me a minute...what's the energy of the sphere made of?
19:36:21 [Sardis] positive energy. Basically he's going to give you so much life that you burst from not being able to contain it all
19:43:01 [†Severus†] Well, my characters abilites are not up to the challenge, so you win...
19:51:23 [Sardis] alright, now I'll tell you how to get out of something like this. Hurt yourself. Not enough to do major damage but just enough to offset the influx of positive energy and keep youself below the bursting point.
21:35:52 Sardis subtle vibrations in the fabric of space and time would ripple above the arena causing the emergence of a small speck of light above this place of death.
