Just a thought: How about starting a "news section" or "current events", or whatever. The idea was prompted when I stumbled on a cool article about warp drives (mentioned here: dsc.discovery.com/news/2008/07/28/warp-speed-engine.html)
It doesn't have to be just recent discoveries, though. Maybe a better name for it would be, like, "Cool content" or something childishly similar but fitting.
