Dual striking leaves you vulnerable at some point. There's always a severe opening.

Just kidding by the way.
Really the rules of combat are give and take. You won't always have the advantage, and looking for it leaves you vulnerable.
You will have to defend at some point, counters don't always work, and an unrelenting offense is usually a weakness in itself.
Truthfully, taking a hit as a sacrifice to set-up for something your opponent cannot see is smart. Yet you must limit how much you're sacrificing.
Taking a punch to the gut is tolerable, but a full-fledged round house to the temple is out of the question.
